Connect a device to Mobility Connector for current NIU employees

You must register first

Go to  E-mail Services > GroupWise Mobility form

Connect within 10 days of your confirmation email or your Mobility Connector registration will be canceled.

Register for the Mobility Connector once

If you change phones or add a device, you connect it using the same settings as your old or existing device. 

Settings for Mobility Connector

Go to Settings > Accounts (Mail, Contacts and Calendars on Apple devices) > New Account

Choose one of the following, depending on your device:

  • Apple: Microsoft Exchange
  • Droid: Corporate Sync or Exchange
  • Palm: Exchange (EAS)

E-Mail: your NIU e-mail address (ex.

Server Name

  • New connections -
  • Current users - use the server name on your old or existing device or ask the IT Helpdesk at 815-753-8100 to look it up for you


  • iPhone - leave this field blank
  • Droids - you will see Domain/Username; enter your AccountID only
  • Windows Mobile - server name

Username: Your AccountID. If you have more than one AccountID, use the ID you use for e-mail.

Password: Your NIU password

Make sure you have SSL or Secure turned on or checked.

Hit OK or Next.
