Server Support Option 1 - Complete Management of Operating System with Backups

Services include:

  • Scheduled Backups/Restores (see Option 2 for details)
  • Installation of OS
  • OS updates and upgrades
  • Monitoring
  • Security patches and fixes
  • Virus Protection
  • Audit of running services
  • Aid in purchasing process for departmental servers
  • Troubleshooting server hardware
  • Maintain stock of common spare parts for Compaq ProLiant series servers
  • Hardware replacements for parts under warranty or under a 3rd party service contract
  • Labor for above services

Server Support Option 2 - Backup of Server Only

The purpose of this agreement to provide a means for data disaster recovery.

Services include:

  • Work with user department to determine backup and scheduling needs.
  • Provide installation of backup software and upgrades as required.
  • Full backups (backs up all files, regardless of whether or not they have changed) will be processed monthly.
  • Level 5 backups (backs up only those files that have changed since the last full backup) will be processed two weeks after the monthly backup.
  • Incremental backups (backs up files that have changed since the last backup), will be processed daily when the level 5 and full backups are not scheduled.
  • Data storage limited to 100 GB is included without additional charge.
  • Routine restore requests are limited to ten per month and will be processed no later than the next business day. Emergency response will be handled on a case by case basis.
  • This service is limited to computers running server software.
  • Backups will be cloned and stored offsite.
  • All backups are retained for two months.

NOTE: A file will not back up if it is in use when the backup is running.
