Cisco AnyConnect and Microsoft Windows February update conflict

If you downloaded the Microsoft Windows February update and use Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2, AnyConnect will give this error:
Failed to initialize connection subsystem

Microsoft and Cisco are working to resolve this issue.

IT has established a system maintenance window from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Sundays. System availability should not be impacted during the maintenance window unless noted below.

On March 1, 2015 starting at 8:00AM, work will be done on the CICM gateways, the servers that support VoIP phones, to apply a software patch. This change is scheduled to last 1 hour. Calls in progress when switching the gateways may be dropped.
On February 28, 2015 starting at 8:00PM, DoIT will update ITForms and MyITForms websites. This change is scheduled to last one hour. This will result in ITForms (itforms.niu.edu) and MyITForms (myitforms.niu.edu) being unavailable for the duration of the update.
