NIU’s Division of Information Technology (DoIT) implements, maintains and supports NIU’s core financial system, PeopleSoft Financials.  PeopleSoft Financials is also know as the MyNIU Employee Financial Management system or simply "FMS".

Peoplesoft Financials is a financial management system that tracks and records financial transactions, processes data, and generates reports.  It's an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application that includes a variety of modules:

  • Assest Management:  Tracks and manages assets from acquisition to retirement
  • Billing:  Standardizes, automates, and optimizes billing activities
  • General Ledger:  Records financial transactions, including budgets and actuals
  • Payables:  Maintains vouchers throughout their lifecycle and generates checks and electronic payments
  • Purchasing:  Manages procurement activities, including requisitions and purchase orders
  • Receivables:  Tracks receivables and associated payments

Request for Access

The following access is granted to the MyNIU Employee Financial Management System automatically and does not need to specifically requested:

  • Employees with approval authority are granted access to the applicable approval components.
  • Responsible officers, secondary officers, and their delegates are granted access to the applicable physical inventory components.

Staff may request additional access to the MyNIU Employee Financial Management System by completing the PeopleSoft/MyNIU Access request form at itforms.niu.edu .
